I’m Lisa Cullen and I want to be your next Brevard County Tax Collector. I welcome you to my
web site and THANK YOU for taking time to review my experience and vision for this office. I
have over twenty-one (21) years experience working in a Tax Collector’s office. My experience
will benefit you by making your Tax Collector’s office a more efficient and cost effective
operation.
In 1985, I began my career with the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office on the front counter
in the Rockledge Tag Agency accepting property tax payments, title and registration
applications for vehicles, vessels and mobile homes and issuing hunting and fishing licenses.
Over the years, I worked hard and moved up through the ranks from counter clerk to assistant
manager to trainer and was later promoted to Director of Title and Registration. As Director of
Title and Registration for the Brevard County Tax Collector, I was responsible for every Tag
Agency in Brevard County and over 100 employees. I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in
Business Administration with a major in Accounting. I have the experience, training and
knowledge of how the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office operates and an understanding of
the laws governing this office. I will be able to hit the ground running as your new Tax
Collector and will be able to make a difference on day one.
At a time when fiscal responsibility is so crucial, you, as a tax payer of Brevard County, need to
ask yourself the following questions: Do you want to hand your Tax Collector’s Office over to
someone with no experience, or would you prefer to entrust the job to someone with
knowledge and experience? Do you want your tax dollars spent for months of “on the job
training” as someone with no experience tries to learn the basic responsibilities, laws and
regulations the position entails, or do you want someone to manage your tax dollars that
already has a vast knowledge of the office, proven leadership experience and a plan based on
over twenty years of actually doing the job on a daily basis?
I want to make the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office the best and most cost effective Tax
Collector’s Office in the state of Florida. To accomplish this, I need your help, support and your
